perhaps if Martin wasn’t playing they might have been almost as good as the lakers.They don’t have as good of personnel and they don’t have as good of a coach. They had the same regular season record as young Portland. As Areosmith sang, “Dream On”.

Or at least they were playing at that level during the WCF. I have no doubts that they would have beaten both the Magic and the Cavs, but they were unlucky to play the Lakers. However, as I said, they were playing lights out during the WCF. They were playing about as best as they possibly could have played, while the Lakers were playing below average. That’s the only reason it was such a close series –in my opinion the closest series the lakers went through.
