haha wow 9 and 4 in college?

explosive? with that jumper? no lift whatsoever he’s gonna get eaten alive even at the workouts. but then again this is one of the weakest drafts ever with kenyon martin junior being the top pick and ricky rubio probably going to spain if he doesn’t end up in sacto or with the clippers.

the rest of the field is realy bad

I want to say congrats to ORLAND for beating my Celtics good luck the est of the way. I hope that we the basketball fans are treated to some good B-Ball the rest of the way. I hope that all teams gets a fair shot and I hope the NBA see to it. Kobe n LeBron would be sexy but let the teams decide and not the REFS or the league. Doc Rivers we lost this year and thats how the ball bounced. We know KG wasn’t there so what.Last year when we beat the Lakers they was short handed also. Bynum and Ariza was hurt,we’ll get healthy and make another run next year. I just want our Celtics to win with pride and also lose with dignity!

Are you kidding me? Don’t even mention all-stars, when you’re basketball IQ is nowhere at their level. Compare yourself to Tyrus Thomas or Kwame Brown. You don’t see some 6-6 SG ever saying “You can compare me to Kobe and Jordan”, you scrub.

Mr. Mullen’s agent is feeding him a nonsense script, one which no one in basketball will believe. The young man is a poor version of Andrew Bogut or, better, a less-skilled Okur. With his physical ability, he may have been a player after 3 years of development. With his current mindset & unrefined skill-set, he is well-suited to Central Asian basketball. Yet due to the dearth of talent in this year’s NBA draft, he will likely be drafted in the 1st round — which will serve the interests of neither the franchise that selects him, the game of basketball, nor the young man himself (aside the fact that he will draw an unwarranted guaranteed paycheck for the next 3-4 years). Unfortunate.

A weaker, quicker Kosta Koufos. That’s about it. Maybe he gets some bench time.

Good luck to him. I like him a lot but I just don’t think he is going to make it too far. I really hope that I get proves wrong though.

haha of course thats what his agent is feeding to him. He wants to get drafted in the first round, and even in this weak draft and with his college stats nothing is promised. look at deandre jordan the other year, but yes this guy will get eaten alive he is garbage. bench warmer for the next 3 years. But the question is, how many people would want to be in the nba gettin paid even if its the last man on the bench?

    answer: a lot of people.

I get it. It’s a weak draft so he has better prospects this year than next. I think what he is saying is crazy but you can’t hate the guy for promoting himself. He is doing what he should be doing to get his and I would be happy to trade places career wise.

best of luck kid. but lets be honest. this kids agent must be really feeding him some line of bs so he can cash in off him. to say he can compare himself to kg, dirk, or amare. those 3 guys r stars probally all hall of famers and this kid didnt even average double digits in any stat in college and he thinks he should be compared to those 3. i wouldnt even compare him to kwame brown. kwame at least had a good senior year of high school. tooo many players think because they got size they are gona make it. i kind of feel sorry for him. his agent actually has him believeing he is gona be a star.
maybe he will prove us all wrong. but i highly doubt it. in the mean time lets just keep watching this video everyday for a good laugh

He is one of two true centers in the draft. He will be picked high. Word was that Thad Motta, the OSU coach, was trying to “hide” him, didn’t give him minutes. He is no different than Jrue Holiday, who was also a top high school prospect last year but didn’t put up big numbers.

Fewer than 200 seven footers have played in the history of the NBA. Teams are ALWAYS willing to take chances on seven-footers in the draft and also wait on them.

Kid had to leave OSU. His family is desperate. I wish him well.

hmmm i think he would be a good roll player, you know, like matt bonner type. hes a footer, you can pass on that. and there are teams out there that need size. If he gets drafted by a team like the lakers or the spurs with a good coach, he will get a good roll playing gig there. Dont under estimate anyone.

This reminds me of Ivan Chiriaev’s comment about how “the NBA needs Ivan Chiriaev,”. Poor kid knows he made the wrong decision now he’s trying to hype himself, but instead he’s looking like a d-bag.

Interesting. I actually emailed Popovich (being a San Antonio resident) about Mullens, because he is a project (is he ever) and would benefit from the teaching and discipline that he would get in the Spurs organization. Plus if he is to go in the first round, which is still difficult to believe, he would be drafted down where the Spurs might have ashot at him.

Matta wasn’t “hiding” him last year, that’s for for. OSU desperately needed him to step up early which Mullens never did. He has displayed almost zero understanding of real pivot moves, nor the hunger you need to become great. Actually, the odds are he will become another sad case of underdeveloped talent, wasting away in the Development League until he gets frustrated and heads to Europe to try and salvage his career.
