One of the biggest Enigmas of the Knicks Season was why Wilcox got no burn. Since when is David Lee better than him & some games he didn’t even play. it was very odd to me.

As a Knick Fan, I would be glad to welcome you back to NY

I agree, I don’t know why Wilcox didn’t get any playing time. He is a great fit because of his athleticism and size and it showed when he got some time at the end of the year.

I like Wilsox, but to answer your question…. Lee was better than him every night.

Lee had the league’s 11th highest FIC (efficiency)

Wilcox did it for 6.7 mill.

Lee did it for 1.7 mill.

Anyone who thinks Wilcox was more valuable than Lee last season wasn’t watching…or doesn’t know what to look for.

Wilcox is a better defender… naturally. However, this is a Mike NO-D’Antoni system.

    Kahnight,
Your not much of a Knick fan if you have any questions concerning David Lee compaired to Chris wilcox. Going on sheer potential Wilcox could compete with the best 4’s in the league. When it comes down to flat out getting it done Lee is clearly the better player. Wilcox didnt get run on a OKla, a team far worse than the knicks. Nick Collison played over him. Nick Collison who BTW is not half as good as David Lee either.

Either way, so many teams would love to have a guy like Wilcox coming off the bench due to his athleticism and energy. I advise the Knicks to resign him.

The next time wilcox plays defense will be the first time wilcox plays defense. Still, he is a good player. Not david lee, but good.

wilcox played hurt often because he was penciled as center for the 4 top 15 draft pick centers that wasted space. wilcox puts up good numbers whenever he gets consistent time. he did for a little bit last year but the youth movement meant he was out in ok city.
his career has been destroyed in sitting behind brand his entire career and not getting the chance to develop. if he gets a run with d’antoni, expect him to be much better. and LEE is a beast anyway. run them at 4 & 5 together if you have any sense.

Ah you hapless Knick fans…arguing about a bench player. Maybe one of these centuries you can actually compete.
