Will we find out what the Rockets are really made of when the playoffs come around? Seems to me that there's still a decent chance that the Rockets end up on the outside looking in.

Tony has it right on, Rockets were always solid but a new coach takes time to adjust to. Greg Popovich's record when he first took over the Spurs as coach from being a GM? 17-49. People & the media forget that.

Good things take time.

Poor Rafer...playing with Vince Carter and Jalen Rose - two major loafers - who wouldn't have had a meltdown!! Only those who don't want to win and who don't want to play hard; Rafer does, both. By the way, nice to see how VC has elevated the Nets to his level.

Aside from T-Mac I also feel, rafer has played superbly... Even though he trhrash-talked almost everyone, we cannot admit the fact that he is a great player and playing his best basketball this time...

All very valid points.

But seriously? can anybody see the Rockets coming out of the Western conference.

For all the let down shaq and the suns have been since teamming up, come playoff time, who from houston is going to cover both shaq and amare? Just as an example. throw in duncan and kurt thomas, west and chandler, Boozer and okur, and even bynum and gasol if they can get healthy. The teams that are legit to come out of the west have a double headed attack inside, whether they are both offensive minded or one defensive one offensive.. it is a two headed sword. I just dont think chuck hayes, dekembe mutombo, carl landry can compete inside when playoffs come.

For the first time in many years, i think the suns are now built for the playoffs instead of being built for the regular season. My opinion of the rockets is different.

All credit to the rockets, they are doing a brilliant job and deserve all the accolades they are recieving. I just think it will all inevitably come to end when finals start.

Good points for the most part. Don't underestimate Landry: he'll be a good one for a long time (easily a 15 and 10 guy). Scola is a real catalyst and inspiration for this team. He'll be one to watch in the future. Jackson move was smart by Morey. Head is getting rid of the silly stuff and polishes his game.

Adelman does the most with the least, and with class: he is clearly Coach of the Year to this point.

This has been a great story, but we will really find out what the Rockets are made of when the playoffs roll around, and honestly I don't like their chances. They will cool off soon, and wish they peaked in the playoffs rather than now.

I'll tell you why this team pushed the last 3 more games into their 22 game win streak... the 4reason is MIKE HARRIS. Who the hell is he? Does 7 pts and 7 rebounds a game since joining the roster answer the question? and he is only -------> 6' 6" and plays as a 2 or a 3!!

It all started when Houston dropped (i mean tossed) a "potential" player cough *knuklehead* named Gerald Green. They took a meat and potatoes guyy working his ass off in CBA (CHINA! of all places) and look what happened from his first game ever since, word work came on the floor at the same time. Houston does not need anymore cupcakes on the rim this season.

As a Raptor fan, I have to tip my hat to Alston and McGrady. Even though I once felt backstabbed by them, they actually worked hard to get to where they are now this season.

The only reason Houston struggled early in the season is because they were trying to learn Adelman's offense. Wins and Losses was not the way to judge them at that point. If you looked at Adelman's past, Portland and Sacto you would agree.
