Jason Richardson - Icon Sports MediaThe Phoenix Suns are acquiring Jason Richardson and Jared Dudley from the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange of Raja Bell, Boris Diaw and Sean Singletary, four different sources told Jorge Sierra and Jonathan Givony of HoopsHype.com.

I’m psyched to be with a competitive team, with the Diesel in the post, he can kick it out to me for wide open 3’s all day.

“I was actually just getting comfortable after playing for 3 different coaches in less than 3 years. I have no hard feelings towards the Bobcat Organization. It’s a business, and it feels great to be wanted by a winning organization. I will miss the fans and the city, but I will bring my A game back to the west where I am very familiar. I look forward to helping the Suns win a championship”

Time will tell, but Diaw was a bust after the 06 playoffs. True, he was effective with Tim Thomas while STAT was out that year, but became expendable with Amare back. And Bell, that’s too bad. Bell was kind of the heart of the Suns, in a certain sense. Guess keeping Barbosa was more wise, to back up Nash/2nd SG off the bench. J-Rich is a hella player, and did great in GS. Will be interesting to see. A starting SG now for the Suns. Penny, Kobe, Wade, and now….J-Rich? Will see….

I don’t know about this one. I hope our defense doesn’t suffer because of it. And secondly, with Stoudemire and Shaq demanding so much of the ball, I really see J-Rich as our 4th option on offense, behind them and Nash. I really hope Porter can work him into the offense, and that we see more running as well - he seems the perfect fit for a high octane offense. It has been obvious this year that Phoenix hasn’t been comfortable slowing the ball down (Nash’s turnover ratio is astounding for a player of his calibre) so hopefully we’ll see Shaq starting the break, and slow it down when we need to, not all the time!

I don’t like this for the suns at all. Do they need another offensive player? Diaw is going to SHINE for the bobcats. Bell with also have a big impact with the increased role. I’m just surprised J-Rich was dealt before Wallace.
