Solid if not spectacular player. You need players like Ellington in your rotation. He will play hard no matter what. I don't expect him to have a 19 pt. average in his rookie season but he is the type of player you go to when you need a basket. His one on one defense will be tested but all rookies have a period of adjustment. The Timberwolves got a solid pick.

BrianBoitono,

Listen, Ellington will average 15 pts. a game this year as a starter in Minnesota. I said he reminds me a little of McCants because of the 3 pt. shooting ability, he works harder than McCants though, that's what will keep him on top.

Wayne is a good player and a better person. I hope he takes advantage of this great opportunity and makes a difference on and off the court. He got better every year in Carolina, hopefully he keeps that work ethic because in the NBA you have to prove yourself all over again.

Listen, MAtt Gorter Did you just use the phrases "kid was a special pick" and " Reminds me a little of McCants" in the same Paragraph??

I like Ellington as a value pick late in the 1st round, think he can play in this league as a 8,9 rotation type player. If he finds any major minutes in Min this year, then the team is in trouble. Its well Documented they dont have any 2's but i assume they like any other team in the league wont be taking the current lineup into the reg season

Ellington went way too late. This guy can shoot and is a better athlete than people think. I hope he gets a real chance to play in Minny. If he does, people will look back in 3-5 years and say how was this guy chosen so late.

Listen, this Ellington kid was a special pick for Minnesota. Reminds me a little of McCants but more mature and ready for the NBA game. He seems more like the type that will push himself and only a TRUE competitor would welcome the challenge of playing against Kobe Bryant. Brave young man. His IQ also shows through in his conversations and on the floor. Love this pick for the Wolves. Now they just need a big-man and a veteran SF.
