nice article…but the dates are a bit off:

it was actually 1988 when detroit had the 3-2 lead against LA and lost,
and it was 1989 when they swept LA in the finals.

True coaching legend - only one of two coaches (Pop being the other) that I have seen who consistently got his players to buy into him - regardless of the players’ background.

He was honest and when pushed comes to shove all players respect that. No agendas with CD - he just wanted to get the most out of his players and his teams.

I mispelled shut the fuck up my bad, as for the Jordan rules he made Jordan lift weights so he got the incredible hulk out of him. When Jordan lifted weights it was over for everybody he make him mad.

One of the top 5 coaches ever, the job that he did with detroit and the dream team was outstanding. How you tell Bill Lambeir and Rick Mahorn shit the fuck up or even Barkley in the dream team. The most underrated coach in NBA history. Or controlling Rodman for all those years WoW
