Seth, this was one of your best articles. you really captured the essence of this guy's story without glamorizing it. What a whacked out prison that was. Would love a follow up on that interview to hear what happened to that place.

Mr. Ferranti,

I have read your articles for a while now, and have always appreciated your point of view of the dreams that could have been. Of course it was alwyas different for me, being a immature white suburban boy, (now a 6'3" somewhat of a 24 year old man,) who couldn't do 1/10th of what his mind could do on the court, I always feel bad for young guys growing up without knowing right and wrong and being in less than ideal situation. Long story short, I was wondering what you think needs to be done to limit the amount of stories, lives, that start with promiss and end in your stories? Or maybe people now find enough value with those who are athletic and limit the amount of atheletes to slip between the cracks. Any insight you have I would love to hear.

I really wish Seth Ferranti would stop writing the same old boring, repetitive articles about how every prison is "the baddest of the bad, the roughest of the rough" blah blah blah. We get it, prison ball is rough! That dude Purple, his info. was good. But your articles Seth, c'mon man, be more original. Based on the last 5 articles of yours that I read, prison ball is rough. Oh really? I never would have guessed. You're a talented writer who needs to add a little something called "creativity" to your articles.

I really wish more youngmen and middle age men who are in prison would write about their experiences and share them with the world.
